Parts of the Flag
- Today's flag consists of
thirteen horizontal stripes, seven red, 6 white in
alternating fashion. The stripes represent the original 13
colonies as they were established shortly after claiming
their free land.
- Red symbolizes hardiness
and valor.
- White symbolizes purity
and innocence
- The Union, stars on the blue
field, represents the number of states in the current Union
which form a new constellation upon the blue field.
- Blue represents vigilance,
perseverance, and justice
Symbol to a Country
America is not without trial and tribulation. It has experienced
great success, growth, and prosperity but always at a price.
Maintaining a free country that is full of prosperity and
opportunity requires much. Events within our history are
commonly if not always accompanied by the symbol of the flag.
